synopsis of my own news progrmme

My news program will be aimed at student age 16-18 that in college/sixth form. The aim of the news program is to give information about stoke Newington school sixth form and university. The news program will consist of interviews from student that have being to stoke Newington sixth form and now are attending some of the top university in England.

There have being a record number of student that have passed there A levels, 97% of the total sixth for student pass the A level and 40% of them passed with A-B. This information would attract the audience because it contain new information that my have link to them if there looking to apply for a sixth form.

Stoke Newington school as recently finish one half of the school rebuilding project BSF, many of the student and staff have different opinion of the new building, I will be interviewing the staff and the new student from year 7 and sixth form about there opinion of the school’s refurbishment and reconstruction. This would also be good information to add to my news program because the new refurbishment and the reconstruction of the school may attract more student that would like to attend stoke Newington school.

There will also be a interview with members of stoke Newington school and sixth form and student that’s now attending the sixth form in year 12 and 13, they will be interviewed on how they feel about the new building work that’s taking place, level of education and plans for the future.

Over all this would have an impact on my target audience because it focus on some of the key topic that they would have to either make a decision of weather to attend stoke Newington sixth form or what university to apply for in the future.

Ancillary Text

At the end of the AS media coursework I have started to work on the ancillary text of my A2 media coursework. Have started to work on my opening sequence of my news program and also my radio advertisement with was to promote my news program.

With regards to my flash animation which was aim at target audience of London's between the age 16+, I used the program Adobe cs3 flash, I first started to choose my key colours which are red, white and blue. The reason behind choosing these colours is to enhance the theme of the britishness. I have also used some key landmark and iconic construct like the big Ben, the London eye, the British flag, two hand of two different ethnicity holding hand and the London red double Decker bus. The style of the animation that i have used was informal in the sense that i was design cartoon like.

Originally my design was meant to have a map of the river themes in the background but i have made some changes to my design to just having a globe in the background with British flag in the middle of it.

In the radio advertisement, it then also began the look at some key ideas for my ads and i then choose to go the theme of different cultures seeing that London is a multicultural city, i then also came up with an idea of have a having a poem which was interlink with the voice of different people with different accent, so for each link of the poem a different person would read the extract.

Overall the idea has proven to be a success with my teacher and friend because of the ideology of different race speaking about a many topic which was the violence of the youth in London with is link the rise in knife crime in London.
